1. Overview
At TailoResumeAI, we offer refunds under specific conditions outlined in this policy. All refunds are processed through Paddle, our payment processor, and are subject to their processing times and procedures.
1.1 Our Pricing Tiers
This policy applies to all our credit packages:
- Starter Pack: 20 credits for $9
- Professional Pack: 300 credits for $49
- Ultimate Pack: Unlimited lifetime access for $200
2. Refund Eligibility
2.1 7-Day Refund Window
We offer full refunds within 7 days of purchase for the following situations:
- Unused Credits: If you haven't used any of the credits from your purchase
- Technical Issues: If our service is unable to generate resumes due to technical problems on our end
- Service Unavailability: If our service becomes unavailable for extended periods (more than 24 hours)
- Billing Errors: If you were charged incorrectly or charged multiple times for the same purchase
2.2 Partial Refunds
In certain cases, we may offer partial refunds calculated as follows:
- Formula: (Total Purchase Amount) × (Unused Credits ÷ Total Credits Purchased)
- Minimum: Partial refunds are only available for purchases of 20 or more credits
- Timeframe: Must be requested within 7 days of purchase
Refund Calculation Examples
Starter Pack: If you purchased 20 credits for $9 and used 5 credits, your refund would be: $9 × (15 ÷ 20) = $6.75
Professional Pack: If you purchased 300 credits for $49 and used 50 credits, your refund would be: $49 × (250 ÷ 300) = $40.83
3. Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will not be provided in the following circumstances:
- Used Credits: Credits that have been successfully used to generate resumes
- User Error: Mistakes in the information you provided that resulted in an undesired resume output
- Dissatisfaction with AI Output: If you're simply unsatisfied with the quality or style of the generated resume (though we encourage contacting support first)
- Change of Mind: General change of mind after successfully using the service
- Expired Window: Requests made more than 7 days after purchase
- Promotional Credits: Free credits or bonus credits received through promotions
- Subscription Services: Monthly or recurring subscription fees (subject to separate cancellation terms)
Important Notice
Once credits are used to generate a resume, those specific credits cannot be refunded. Only unused credits from your purchase are eligible for refund consideration.
4. How to Request a Refund
Refund Request Process
- Contact Support: Submit a refund request through our in-app support system or contact form
- Provide Information: Include your transaction ID, purchase date, and reason for the refund request
- Account Review: We'll review your account to verify credit usage and purchase details
- Decision Notification: You'll receive a decision within 2-3 business days
- Processing: Approved refunds are processed through Paddle within 5-10 business days
- Confirmation: You'll receive confirmation once the refund is initiated

5. Processing Times
5.1 Review Process
- Initial Response: Within 24 hours of request submission
- Decision: Within 2-3 business days after review begins
- Processing: 5-10 business days once approved
5.2 Payment Method Refunds
Refunds are processed back to your original payment method:
- Credit Cards: 3-5 business days after processing
- PayPal: 1-3 business days after processing
- Bank Transfers: 5-10 business days after processing
6. Special Circumstances
6.1 Technical Failures
If our service fails to generate a resume due to technical issues on our end, we will:
- Restore the used credit to your account, or
- Process a full refund if you prefer

- Refunds for billing errors are processed regardless of the 7-day window
Note on Partial Refunds
Since our smallest package is the Starter Pack with 20 credits, all credit packages qualify for partial refunds when unused credits remain within the 7-day window.
6.3 Service Outages
If our service is unavailable for more than 24 consecutive hours:
- Affected users may request pro-rated refunds
- We'll provide service credits as compensation
- Extended outages (48+ hours) qualify for full refunds regardless of credit usage
7. Ultimate Pack (Lifetime Unlimited)
Special conditions apply to the Ultimate Pack with lifetime unlimited access ($200):
- Refund Window: 14 days instead of 7 days
- Usage Limit: Refund available only if fewer than 10 resumes have been generated
- Partial Refunds: Not available for Ultimate Pack purchases
- Service Changes: If we discontinue the service, Ultimate Pack holders receive priority refund consideration
8. Chargebacks and Disputes
8.1 Before Filing a Chargeback
Before initiating a chargeback with your bank or credit card company, please:
- Contact our support team first
- Allow us 3-5 business days to resolve the issue
- Most issues can be resolved faster through direct communication
8.2 Chargeback Consequences
If you file a chargeback without contacting us first:
- Your account may be suspended pending resolution
- Access to credits and services may be temporarily restricted
- Additional documentation may be required for account restoration
9. Refund Exceptions
We reserve the right to deny refunds in cases involving:
